About SRV
About SRV
SRV (SR Valuation Inc.) offers valuation services to the investment, corporate projects and startup communities.
Our mission is to bring structure, transparency, and reproducibility to the opaque field of startup valuation — making early-stage capital markets more efficient and accountable. Our domain of research and practice spans innovation, economics, risk modeling, and AI.
At the heart of SRV's offering is the Backward Valuation Method (BVM) — a proprietary framework developed by Sylvain Roy and field-tested since 2016.
SRV serves founders preparing for fundraising, VCs evaluating portfolios, and institutional investors requiring audit-ready valuation documentation.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Sylvain Roy

"In valuation, a formulaic 'black box' approach doesn't help anyone. You need to first establish a solid foundation — proper documentation and a clear understanding of the value proposition, risks, target customers, pricing, and business model. Only once these elements are in place can you derive a realistic valuation that investors will take seriously."
Sylvain Roy brings over 25 years of experience in intellectual property transactions, patent brokerage, valuation, licensing, and innovation strategy. Sylvain is a business attorney and managing partner of SRA, the parent firm of SRV. LinkedIn Profile
