SR Valuation Inc. ("SRV", "we", "us", or "our") operates the https://srvaluation.com website (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of information, including Personal Data (as defined below) when you use our Site or Services, and the choices you have regarding that data.

"Information" refers to all information you provide to us when using our services. "Personal Data" refers to any information that identifies, or could be reasonably associated with, an individual. Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot be associated with an identifiable individual is not considered Personal Data.

SRV complies with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec), as amended by Law 25, and with all other applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Types of Data Collected
We may collect the following categories of Information, including Personal Data:

• Identifiers and contact information: such as name, company, email, phone number, and billing address.
• Transactional information: including your purchase history, payment method (via third-party processor), and service usage.
• Usage data: including your IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time spent on pages, referral links, and device information.
• Cookies and tracking data: see Section 4.
• Questionnaire data — when completing the valuation questionnaire, we collect:
  • Basic company identification: name, address, jurisdiction, year of incorporation, number of employees, legal status, and geographic market of operations;
  • Governance details: board composition and key management team (names and titles only);
  • Sector classification: industry, sub-sector, and detailed product or service offering selections;
  • Value chain position classification;
  • Funding history: including amount raised per round, round type (e.g., Seed, Series A), date of each funding event, and nature of funding instruments (e.g., equity, SAFE, convertible note);
  • Planned future rounds: anticipated date and size of next round;
  • Description of the company's business model, competitors, and market strategy; and
  • Uploaded documents (e.g., pitch deck, business plan) containing business-related but potentially identifiable information.

This information is strictly used for the purpose of valuation and is not shared or sold to third parties. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health, race, religion, or biometric data.

Questionnaire Data — L1 and L2 Sections
Client inputs to the BVM L1 section of the questionnaire typically relate to information of a non-confidential nature (such as sector, product description, funding history, and business model). Client inputs to the BVM L2 section may include information that the Client considers confidential or proprietary. SRV handles all questionnaire data, whether from the L1 or L2 section, with the same standard of professional discretion and does not disclose it to third parties beyond what is strictly necessary for the delivery of the Services, as set out in this Policy. For the purposes of SRV's internal processing and use of AI tools, all questionnaire data is treated as described in Section 3a below.

2. How We Collect Data
We collect Information through the following means:

• Directly from you: when you fill out forms, request a service, make a purchase, or communicate with us.
• Automatically: through cookies and browser tracking technologies.
• Through our service providers: such as payment processors, hosting services, and analytics platforms.

3. Use of Personal Data
We use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

• To deliver and improve our valuation services
• To process payments and send confirmations
• To respond to your inquiries or service requests
• To analyze usage trends and improve the Site
• To detect and prevent fraud or security issues
• To send updates or marketing communications (if opted in)
• To comply with legal or regulatory obligations

3a. Use of Artificial Intelligence and Language Models
SRV uses large language models ("LLMs") as part of its BVM valuation process. All LLM usage is sandboxed: no Client information is transmitted to or used by any LLM provider for training purposes, and no Client information is included in any external training dataset.

The Client information submitted to LLM queries is strictly limited to the following fields from the input questionnaire: subsector, primary product or service, stage of development, value chain position, business model, and expected next round of funding. This information is used solely to determine the applicable three-layer sector classification, relevant stage of development, and relevant funding round parameters used in the selection of comparable companies. SRV does not use LLMs to process any other Client data, including personal identifiers, financial details, or uploaded documents.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience. Types of cookies include:

• Session Cookies: temporary cookies used for site operation
• Preference Cookies: store user preferences
• Analytics Cookies: collect information on site usage (e.g., Google Analytics)
• Security Cookies: help detect abuse

You can configure your browser to reject cookies. Note that disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

5. Sharing of Data
We may share your data in the following situations:

• With service providers (e.g., Shopify, Stripe, Google Analytics) who support our business operations
• With legal or regulatory authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property
• With your consent or at your direction

We do not sell or rent your information, including Personal Data, to third parties.

6. Payment Information
Payments on the SRV Site are processed via Stripe or Shopify Payments. SRV does not store or access your full payment card details. These are handled in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. Please review the applicable third-party privacy policies:

7. Data Storage and Transfers
Personal Data may be stored in Canada or the United States. Some of our service providers may process data outside of Canada. If data is transferred internationally, it is subject to appropriate contractual and legal safeguards.

8. Data Retention
SRV retains Client information, including Personal Data and questionnaire data, for a minimum of 10 years from the date of the relevant engagement, and thereafter for as long as required for legitimate business, legal, or regulatory purposes. This retention period reflects SRV's legal obligations, its interest in maintaining accurate business records, and the potential for long-term disputes or regulatory inquiries relating to delivered valuation services. When information is no longer required for any such purpose, it will be securely deleted or anonymized.

9. Security of Data
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your Personal Data. Despite our efforts, no system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials used to access SRV services.

10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your Personal Data
• Withdraw consent to processing (where applicable)
• Request a copy of your data in portable format
• File a complaint with a data protection authority

11. Service Providers
We may use the following service providers:

• Shopify: for website hosting and order processing
• Stripe: for secure payments
• Google Analytics: for site usage analytics

These providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. You are advised to review this page regularly. Your continued use of the Site after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.

This Privacy Policy is available in English and in French at https://account.srvaluation.com/fr/pages/privacy-policy. The English version is the governing version in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the two versions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
